enable PHP zip extension in cPanel
The PHP zip extension is used to read and write compressed ZIP files. Often, you will see a notice in WordPress that reads, "PHP zip is not installed or has been disabled message."
Follow these steps to enable the PHP zip extension in your cPanel web hosting:
- Log into your cPanel account
- Go to the Select PHP Version menu
- Click the Extensions tab
- Check the zip extension to enable it

Log in to your cPanel account, then click on the Select PHP Version menu under the Software tab.
